                          Desired Behaviour of Employees

  • Every employee should have a sense of belongingness and loyalty towards the organisation.
  • Employees should always respect the work given to them.
  • They should work with full commitment and fulfill their responsibilities.
  • Must coordinate with the team members as well as the subordinates. This will help to maintain healthy relations with each other.
  • Punctuality: Ideally employees should report to the office 15-20 minutes before time. They should always be punctual and presentable.
  • Employees should initiate with new ideas and thoughts so that the management can know the true potential of them.

                          Undesired Behaviour of Employees

Unethical and undesirable employee behaviour refers to the wrongful acts and all other activities which they should avoid at all the levels of the organisation. Some of them are:-
  • Leaking out confidential information of the company to third parties;
  • Increase in absenteeism;
  • Taking shortcuts in their work;
  • Disrespecting the employer;
  • Taking biased decisions in favor of their self interest.
Consequences of unethical behaviour at workplace:-
  • Adversely affects the reputation and goodwill of the company;
  • Can lead to lack of communication due to disrespectful situations;
  • Lesser productivity due to lack of coordination among the employees;
  • Decrease in performance of the employees who are following ethical norms because of lack of motivation
  • Unethical behaviour creates a friction and disharmony among the organisation.
